Re: An absolute Joke
It’s a shambles.

Now that this new investor has come in, Sullivan’s ego has clearly gone demented, fatally disrupting transfer negotiations in this window. I’m not even sure he knows what his strategy for the club is let alone anyone else. He’s just in super-reactive mode and yes, as CHL has noticed, would rather see the club as a burned-out hulk than prosper without him.

Bad times ahead, I fear.

We're a fucking joke

The manager, the recruitment team and the owners should be embarrassed. Chance of Europe and we've not shown any intent. No striker available this weekend.

Europe probably gone now and with that any chance of attracting better players in the summer and keeping hold of Rice.

We never learn, until we have competent people in charge we wont ever become a regular top 6/7 side. They've got incredibly lucky with what Moyes has achieved but you cant ride that wave forever.

Latest news on official site has a quiz - name team that played Rotherham in 2004. Serious piss take it has to be not any mention of the transfer window failures.

“No striker available this weekend.”

They could probably play me up front against Kidderminster, to be fair.

Lots of knicker wetting on here.

The only team who actually got anyone was Tottenham.

Man u noone lost 3
Arsenal noone lost 3
Chelsea noone
Brighton noone lost 2
Liverpool got 1
Man city got 1 who's back on loan

All this crap about being behind the competition we can never compete at these teams level so why just buy someone who doesn't fit.

Re: An absolute Joke
I'm no board apologist but put this mess firmly down to Moyes

Totally in line with his character
The irony being, he is patently not the manager needed for grasping circumstance and taking the generational opportunity that presented itself - it's over now - he is however, absolutely the manager for where he is taking us, our natural lower mid table obscurity

Reflect his record of transfers, his formations/substitutions against the top sides and consequential results

He has an obvious ceiling, an orbit of capacity that is club perfect within but hopelessly inadequate outside of it

Just await the cliched excuses, we know what they will be and then him being the only one shocked when it goes tits up, which it will

Even more reason to get players in, Arsenal have weakened their squad. Spurs have lost 4. Man Utd let some attackers go.

Fucking open goal for us and we've done fuck all. Absolute shambles

Re: An absolute Joke
Nobody around us except Spurs bought.
Money is obviously still an issue or player movement is for whatever reason.
Yes i do think that this means Rice leaves but he wont if we get Europa League win and qualify for Champs league which was always the case anyway so nothing changes really (certainly the team doesn't). I reckon he has faith in Perkins etc and will play them more and more.
GSB either want us to be shit when they sell as they don't want us to be a powerhouse as they leave cos they wanna say haha look at you now and so wont invest OR they are skint and relying on Rice money which nobody will offer a loan on as its not 100% he goes PLUS I wonder how much us not paying Frankfurt properly makes other clubs suspicious of if they get their money at all?

But how many of them had 1 striker who's injury prone going into this transfer window?

SSN saying we failed to get a deal sheet in on time for Atalanta's Zapata, seriously we had a fucking month to get it done and we ran out of time, what a joke we are

Rossal 10:07 Tue Feb 1
Re: An absolute Joke
There was no deal sheet for Zapata, its all bollocks to make it look like they tried and are remotely competent

Re: An absolute Joke
Not sure Moyes isn’t part of the problem if I’m honest. Everton called him dithering Dave. If we had money and he wasn’t backed he needs to grow some balls and call it out.

So fucked off. We’re in the best position we’ve been in decades and we’re trying to wing it…again. No way this squad will be able to cope with all the games to go. Fucking sickening

Re: An absolute Joke
Didn't Moyes say that we hoped to get two or three in the window as we were running out of bodies?

This isn't Moyes' fault. He's one of the best managers we've ever had. This is clearly the work of our Poundland dictator and proves that not getting relegated is the sole aim of the cunts upstairs.

Forget about an FA Cup run and Europe, a place in the middle of the table and GSB will be slapping each other on their backs.

We've been here before, rinse and repeat. My God I despise these utter, utter cunts.

Re: An absolute Joke
We have the funds, make no mistake
And it is nothing to do with the Czech

We had a ‘windfall’ of £60/£70m above budget due to a higher PL prize money from last season, the Europa prize money and way more tv revenue from the above

Google it, press released around October/November - the finances are there

Think this is an opportunity for our youth players to come in
, they look decent and need to step up its an expensive quality set up now .

Of course Moyes is part of the problem.

He was handed full control of the football operation and recruitment since returning to the club two years ago.

"Think this is an opportunity for our youth players to come in"

Moyes has already started down this route & no doubt the team against Kidderminster will confirm it. No bad thing.

Re: An absolute Joke
I'm not blaming Moyes for anything. He's done an outstanding job. You know who is responsible for this. Gold/Sullivan/Brady. The usual suspects. Yes we needed a few players in but clearly those we wanted weren't available for what GSB want to pay. It ain't Moyes' fault or the players. Back them, Moan at the board.
